Jessica Kim is a lawyer whose practice is focused on representing individuals and families who have suffered injuries as a result of medical malpractice. At Pacific Medical Law, Jessica has been involved in medically and legally complex cases concerning catastrophic birth injuries. As a Patient Advocate, Jessica brings a patient- and family-centred approach to litigation that responds to each client’s unique needs and values.
Prior to law school, Jessica obtained her Master of Health Administration from the UBC Faculty of Medicine and engaged in health services research involving obstetrics for high-risk pregnancies in rural BC. She joined Pacific Medical Law after graduating from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, where she won the Marilyn Moysa Award in Health Law for her attention to women’s health issues. Jessica’s decision to represent plaintiffs in medical negligence litigation was influenced mostly by the rewarding experience she had while working with patients, and her dedication to improving patient safety.

She also serves as the BC Health Law Section Executive of the Canadian Bar Association.
